Program Description
The Canadian Work Experience Program (CWEP) is a specialized program combining intensive English study with a paid/non-paid internship in a Canadian workplace. CWEP is offered in 6, 12, 18, and 24 month programs, are consists of academic preparation and paid/non-paid internship component.
The program provides training for students whose English Language proficiency level is below the acceptable minimum to enter internship preparation courses such as Intensive Business Communication (IBC) and Workplace Internship Preparation. These courses are designed to make student highly employable in the Canadian job market. The last part of the program is a paid/non-paid internship where student learn about the Canadian workplace and enhance their professional skills.
Program Overview
Academic Preparation Courses (General English and others English courses):
Student can choose courses from a variety of programs offered at NCA.
Mandatory Internship Preparation Courses:
Intensive Business English (IBC)
1. Introduction to Business
2. Communication in the Workplace
3. Writing for Business
4. Presentation Skills
5. Job Search
Integrated Communication English (ICE)
The goal is to markedly improve speaking skills.
Internship Preparation
- Provides an internship preparation seminar and information sessions to help applicants perform well in their job interview and workplace.
Internship
Applicants can choose either paid or non-paid internship option and placement fee will vary. NCA will provide the interview arrangement up to 5 times.

Placement Fee: $1000 (paid internship), $650 (non-paid internship)
Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate that they have previously applied for and secured part-time, full-time job, or volunteer work. Professional work experience is preferred but not required.
An intermediate level of English is minimum requirement for an internship placement.
